The university of Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée is situated in the suburb of Paris @5 Boulevard Descartes, 77420 Champs-sur-Marne (see the map).

On this map we added the location of the BOBCATSSS venue (red cap sign), different type of hotels (blue and green bed signs). The public transportations are already on Google maps with this sign  for the RER,  for the metro,  for the bus, and  for the tramway. In case you don't see the public transportation, please enlarge the map.

Champs-sur-Marne city

As the BOBCATSSS conference will take place at Cité Descartes in Champs sur Marne, if you want to stay close to the venue, you can opt for one of the hotels at a walking distance. In the afternoon/evening, if you want to explore Paris, you will have to take the train RER A (the red line on the map) and you will reach the center of Paris Chatelet – Les Halles station in 25 minutes.

Downtown Paris

You can also choose to stay in fashionable Paris. Hotel prices in Paris are generally higher than in the suburbs. Please, remember to allow extra time for the transport, as during rush hours trains may take longer than the scheduled time.

Chessy, Serris & Montévrain cities - Val d'Europe

Another possibility is to stay in Val d'Europe, a new town at a walking distance from Disneyland Park and Disney Village. There are cinemas (a 3D cinema as well), and one of the biggest shopping center and outlet village in the region. Hotels in Val d'Europe are cheaper than in Paris. You can opt for the Aparthotel Adagio, where you have the possibility to book a flat for up to 5 or 6 people.

VENUE

To reach the BOBCATSSS venue by public transport, the easiest way is by train, called RER A (red line on the map).

RER A time distances to the BOBCATSSS venue:

1. Chatelet / Les Halles (center Paris) – Noisy-Champs (Cité Descartes, Bobcatsss venue) : 23 minutes
2. Serris - Noisy-Champs (Cité Descartes, Bobcatsss venue) : 14 minutes

During rush hours (7.30-9.30 am; 5.00-7.00 pm), trains may take longer than the scheduled time. So be sure to allow extra time for your journey.
